Announcement of a street arts competition

Busan International Performing Arts Festival, which celebrates its 14th anniversary in 2017, is preparing a new program called Dynamic Street.

As a street performance competition that does not limit nationality, we are recruiting various performances regardless of location and format.

Regardless of location including beach or street, we want entries of many street performance teams that can communicate with audience in many formats.

1. Overview

A. Performance period and location

⦁ Two times of showcase, two performances from Wednesday, May 24, 2017 to Saturday, 27th (Saturday)

⦁ Gwangalli beach area

B. Qualification and performance conditions

⦁ All works regardless of location, genre or format

⦁ Performances over 20 minutes

⦁ Performances that are possible to do street promotions 2 times before each performance

⦁ Accommodation support during the performance period

⦁ All participating teams with 2 million Korean won worth support

(Domestic participating team: 2 million won / Overseas participating team: 2,000 [USD])

C. Prize money

⦁ Gold Prize - Prize money 15,000 [USD]

⦁ Silver Prize - 7,000 [USD]

   D. Notification of results: separate notification to only those works that are selected as finalists in January 2017 through preliminary screening
