Introduction 

This is the original marionette performance which is performed by the Korean version of Geppetto.
The stringed puppets have a full range of motion.
They can move all of their limbs and even the smaller details such as their eyelids.

This is the original marionette performance which is performed by a Korean puppeteer. The puppeteering director Kim Jong Gu majored in puppeteering at the National Drama University in St. Petersburg Russia. He returned to Korea in 2002. He lived in the middle of the mountains in Korea and spent his time carving puppets from the Ginkgo tree. Europeans call these stringed puppets marionettes. Some feel that these marionettes are capable of performing more realistic and fantastic performances than their human counterparts.

In this modern version Geppetto instills several moving moments to the audience through his interpretation of the story. Each object in the performance has a soul much like the objects which we love in our everyday livessuch as Pinocchio. Kim Jong Gu , master craftsman and marionette director, can be compared with Geppetto in "Pinocchio" because he brings life to his puppets. His creations have joints, and move just like real humans. They can even display their emotions by physically changing their facial expressions. The director hopes that audiences feel the same way about everything around us, as Geppetto loved Pinocchio.

The message presented through the actions of these wooden puppets is love. It might be difficult to teach little children who have too many toys, computer games, books and money, the true value of the little things. It isthe directors hope that people can recognize the value of precious things such as nature. It is after all from nature that these puppets are made. The wood gives the puppets delicate movements and a soul of their own. Like the clown in the performance says "the trees, puppets, people all love."This performance will be a favorite among families. There will be very pleasant and familiar music, and the puppets are very witty and likeable.

Synopsis 

The performance opens with a clown and a little singing bird. Then the magician performs several tricks such as a flower appearing from an empty vase. Following this there is a mask changing show, a weightlifters expression show, an acrobatic show of the monkey family, unicycle bear acrobats, a fire breather, white and fury dogs jumping over hurdles, circus animals playing the saxophone makes this performance a fantastic and magical spectacle.
