Puppet is also called Bu Dai Xi(a kind of puppet show performed in small bags) in folklore and it is very popular in south Fujian Province, China. Puppet has had a history more than one thousand years and it is a rare opera of puppet show in China. In June 2006, puppet was listed in the protection program of National Immaterial Cultural Inheritance by the State Council and at the some time Fujian Jinjiang Puppet Troop was appointed to be the descended theater of puppet art.
