Chronicle of BIPAF
Gwigeum is the grand master of Geomungoin Silla following Wan San-ak and Okppogo. Anjiang and Cheongjiang who want to be learned genuine sound of Geomungo by Gwigeum go to the Jirisan Valley to meet him. However, they get odd jobs, there's no lesson for them. It is pretty hard work, but they worked silently without a complaint. One day, they remind their father's wrongful death and poisoned Gwigeum's tea a little more each day. At the day when Gwigeum teaches Geomun goto them, he finally keel over because of the poison he has been taken. And Cheongjiang stab in his chest with a dagger. But Gwigeum barely stand up and start to give thema lesson.
'PyoPoong' is the music which is come from the old book. Music itself does not exist anymore, only the name of the music is alive. The music of that era and life has been estimated based on only one line on the history that Anjiang and Cheongjian learned Geomungo by Gwigeum. Geomungo, one of the best musical instruments in Korea. Director wants to talk about the values and the life of people lived during that time through the way Geomungo pass down. And deliver the value of arts that transcends time and space, live and death through the life of artist who put priority on the value of art.
