Treplyov puts up an experimental play to gain recognition from his mother, a famous theater actor, but she only laughs at him. Nina, whom he loves, is fascinated by her mother's lover, Trigorin. Despairful in despair, Treplyov attempts suicide but fails. Two years later, Treplyov became a promising writer, and Nina, who left for Moscow following Trigorin, is a failed actor and has been living like a loser, performing in the provinces. Treplyov offers Nina to live with him, confessing her feelings, but she is rejected. And she kill herself with a sense of loss.


Busan Metropolitan Theatre Company's "the Seagull" induces active observation from the audience through the introduction of a circular stage to enhance reality. Through the performance, the audience will be able to experience a different kind of theater through a stage that guarantees disclosure, timeliness, symmetry and balance.
