The performance dives into female nature as it results from ten significant woman figures of the ancient greek tragedy in the unique way that Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides captured them. Sometimes as archetypal personalities and others as deeply human and incarnated beings.

The poet is constantly present in this theatrical journey, eating his own flesh to give flesh to his pulsating vision of creating an equally pulsating, fluid poetic theatrical synthesis, fre-quently full of internal conflicts and creative contradictions, focused on female nature.

Behind the actions of the actors, rises the imaginative world of videos and live captures, presented in the form of either a 3-D utopia made from miniatures and mockups used by the actors, or that of Aegean landscapes that function as a natural canvas for the drama taking place, or as a heartbreaking close-up of the facial details of the women.

Kostas Gakis Ensemble, whose main director has visited last year’s BIPAF for closing performance, revisits this year with a new performance about ancient tragedy.

The company aims to make a theater to be a place where audiences can wash off daily problems through the actors’ gestures and music. Especially, through this work with their outstanding, sophisticated and sensual interpretation of classics, the company tries to deliver a strong message of ‘synchronism’ to the audiences worldwide.
