<Synopsis>

Toti Toronell investigates the clown deeply, swims with its essence, holds its’ breath until the public breath with him... With a lout and also delicate style, he brings the spectator to its innocent and poetic world.

You can only hear a fly and a dustcart that will pass in front of the factory. The machines are switched off but the violin is still playing the last sigh. The clown also sighs while collects the emotions with the broom.

And, what would happen if the dustcart does not stop?

Toti Toronell transports the rubbish bag through a show fill with poetry, and he uses his Naïf spirit in order to live each conflict with the passion with which a snail eats lettuce. He does not want to explain anything, but he explains everything and he lives with the clown essence, from the tenderness to the innocence.

<Press Review>

“in Naif, more han the usual belly laughs, what we get is deep inner smiles and tenderness that transmit some kind of nostalgy. The base of a poetical clown”

- Carme Escales<El Periódico>

“ the story of Naif is symbolizes what happens to us sometimes in our lives: we deny that things are happening, we reject stop doing something we are used to do (like in his case carrying a trash bag), and what happens in the end is that, after we stop doing that, we end up doing the same thing again”

- Dani chicano<El Punt Avui>

<Toti Toronell>

The company was founed in 1997 in OLOT, Catalonia, by Jordi (Toti) Toronell and Pep Massanet. At that time it was called just “Cop de clown”. With the fisrt productions they performed more than 600 times in Catalonia and parts of Spain with their family shows. In 2007 they decided to broaden their scope and create the section LAITRUM, with wich they experimemented with new ways of showing theatre, like site specific, installations, and so on.

In 2009 all this process cristalizes with the project NAIF, wher you can see his most poetic clown, that has the specificity of having a very unique focus on human emotions.
