This co-production between Italy and South Korea explores the power of two rich and mysterious traditions. This journey is set by ancient songs, ritual steps, dances, masks and symbolic objects that have guided this multi-cultural crew of actors in the creation of their performative actions. This precise physical, rhythmic and vocal work illuminates the universal connection of all to one old mother tracing backwards through her life.

Tradition is a tie that binds pieces into the whole. It is part of us as much as we belong to it.  The mother of every memory is attached to tradition. Breaking the surface of globalized everyday life, a group of human beings found themselves in a land suspended in time. The echoes of ancient songs lead their steps in reigniting rituals and their bodies to dance ancestral memories.
Raped funeral veils, beating drums, dancing masks, demons and shamans appearing from the past in this dreamy scenery, transcend the audience on a journey leading backwards. Along the way, the boundary is crossed between two traditions: one Italian and one Korean, both rich with interesting and mysterious elements. The physical and emotive acting, the power of song and throbbing rhythms trace a universal path, a path in which everyone can decipher elements of one’s own personal memories in the tale of this old mother. She lives again some moments of her past life before crossing into the realm of souls, and in tandem, our reminiscence follows.
