Unique, painful and appalling sight of life.

Cry of terror and uncontrollable joy

Treatise of Mannequins

Hailing from Italy, Treatise of Mannequins is a visual delight.
It takes the audience on a dream like trip back into childhood.
Costumes come in only three colors, black, white and a dark, almost blood red.
With a combination of modern and classical dance, the show tells a tale
that speaks to all.

It is the story of a return to childhood. A journey
where everything children experience comes to life, terror and joy,
dreams and awakening.
The audience must confront their own child self as the dancers
on the stage put different garments on the child whose tale it is.

With a beautiful score and talented dancers
Treatise of Mannequins is a non-verbal play
that is perfect for an international audience.

It follows the journey of a small child on her path through childhood.
Occurring entirely at night, the play feels like it is basked in moonlight
and will awaken the audiences’ imagination
as they create their own story to follow the tale the dancers weave.

Treatise of Mannequins will play the last Saturday and Sunday of BIPAF,
May 8th and 9th. To see a preview of the performance
