This Cute Chaplinesque mime piece takes place inside a box one metre cubed-hence the name of the show. Forced to economics by astronomical city rents, a man moves into a tiny space, full of optimism that he can make the tiny box a cosy home. He gets his furniture from IKEA, positions his pot plant, does the housework and manages to throw a party. But the annoyances of modern life begin to wear him down. Telephone answering services, commuting and noise from the neighbours all begin to chip away at his well-being. And, when he gets himself a television, the horrors of wars, conflict and global terror begin to invade his cosy world. The use of multimedia images and films is ingenious and fives an unexpected extra dimension to the art of the mime.
