It's a dance play about an 80-year-old woman's beautiful journey
"A beautiful mono-drama drawn by dance" that will show unforgettable
fantasy and dream world with the combination of solo language,
refined Korean music and beautiful live video.
This work contains the story of an 80-year-old man's dream. The 80-year-old woman who appears in the work meets Grim Reaper in her dream and travels to the world of her dreams while crossing the four rivers, the Black River, the invisible River, the Mirror River, and the Horn (魂) River. The old woman's gesture crossing the river is told by the old woman became the story of her life, and the old woman who wakes up in the dream ends with being reborn as a flower and returning to nature for eternity.
The dance company's works have continued the traditional line of beauty of Korean dance, while presenting new levels of works differentiated from existing Korean dance works in contact with various art genres such as video, music, and art.
Hu Dance Company has continued to make efforts to promote Korean dance to the world, receiving five stars and receiving global attention for performing a monodrama "AFTER4" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017, and promoting the traditional beauty and creative charm of Korean dance through active overseas performances such as official invitation performances in Paris, La Rochelle, New York, and the opening of the Buenos Aires International Theater Festival in 2023.
