"Tipping Point" is a memorial performance that mourns the melting (dead) glacier that can no longer endure on the heated earth, and it is both a rapidly dying glacier story and his funeral. Four performers, symbolizing modern people living indifferent to the climate, commemorate the glacier that has died due to humans in various ways by using their bodies and objects. It started with one performer as if glacial debris were introduced, and it was created by flowing into the stage one by one, and the scattered refrigerators gradually gather and pile up, embodying the tomb of the glacier.
"Green Cow" was founded by artist Sung-taek, Jeong after completing the street art expert training course at the Seoul Street Arts Creation Center in 2017, and is an experimental art research organization aimed at rehabilitating the contemporary era with art due to interest in the social role and responsibility of artists. In collaboration with artists of various genres, we approach the theme consciousness of various problems such as environmental and social problems experienced by the contemporary as art and aim for contemporary creation using the genre characteristics of street art and circus.
Beyond simply using climate as a material, we are pursuing continuous activities to promote the seriousness of the climate crisis through art, and we will conduct in-depth research on practical behavior (climate behavior) and artistic approaches for social change. Therefore, I would like to continue my artistic activities under the theme of Organic Convergence with Art for Practical Response to Climate Change and Effective Art Expression Method (Contemporary) through the use of space (place).
