An internationally acclaimed work that confronts the violence of patriarchy and the cartel of silence head-on.

Chosen by audiences in over 100 cities worldwide.

Winner of the Shell Theatre Award, APTR, and APCA.

Tom at the Farm has built a strong international reputation through numerous major awards and extensive touring. Beginning with over 100 cities across Brazil, its tour has extended to Canada, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and the United Kingdomdemonstrating its ability to resonate with audiences beyond cultural boundaries.

The work explores how violence is sustained through silence. After the death of his lover, the protagonist visits a rural farm for the funeral, only to find that no one is willing to speak the truth. Silence operates there as an unspoken rule.

Following the protagonist’s choicewhether to remain silent or confront the truthTom at the Farm reveals the structures of oppression and power. Praised by the original playwright, Michel Marc Bouchard, as “the most powerful production of my work,” this piece stands as a modern classic that transcends homophobia.
