The play explores how violence is sustained through silence.

After the death of someone he loved, the protagonist travels to a rural farmthe deceased’s hometownto attend the funeral, only to discover that no one is willing to speak the truth and that silence has become the rule.

Through the protagonist’s choice between remaining silent or confronting the truth, Tom at the Farm exposes structures of oppression and power.

Praised by original playwright Michel Marc Bouchard as “one of the most powerful productions of my play,” the work stands as a modern classic that goes far beyond a story of homophobia.
