The Shadow Orchestra
A combination one man band, mime and magician,
Xavier Mortimer creates a sophisticated entertaining theater performance.
Great for the whole family Xavier Mortimer's talents are comedic and extraordinary.
The stage opens to a silhouetted curtain showing a tuba case.
A shadow pulls himself out of the tuba case, dusts himself off,
the curtain rises and from there the show begins.
A renaissance man of the theater,
Mortimer blends music to mime and magic to dance.
As the show progresses at a fast pace Mortimer is able to duplicate himself,
the man now appears on stage
and behind him appear his shadow doubles playing
an entire orchestra of music the he keeps time to and interacts with.
Hailing from France The Shadow Orchestra received great praise
at both The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Festival D'Avignon.
If you have any interest in magic and amazement this is a show for you
and your children. It is pure magic, dance and music,
as a non-verbal show it is great for any audience.
Playing twice on the Korean National holiday,
Children's Day (Wednesday, May 5th),
The Shadow Orchestra is the perfect way to spend a day
with your children or equally delightful for only adults.
Tickets are 15,000 won for students and 10,000 won for children.
There is also an evening show on Tuesday May 4th.
