Against the wishes of Chang-Ha, Doyle leaves for free-spirited dance and Choyeong remains in the palace. Doyle joins in 'Namsadangpae', a group of traveling entertainers while Choyeong cares for Chang-Ha, who suffers an apoplectic stroke. Chang-Ha passes away, dancing his work 'Chunaengjeon' in hope that Choyeong will remain a real dancer.
