Nangi who cannot hear and speak and her old mother. Mother’s heart bleeds for looking her daughter playing by herself with a piece of wood all day and all night. The mother and daughter depend on each other and walk up Arirang hills hand in hand. They sing a song everywhere they go. As time went on, mother dies leaving her daughter. That alone walks up hill which she walks with mother.

 Then one day, Nangi sing the Sanju Arirang mother used to sing for her and remind her mother’s smiley face. After that, she is somehow able to hear and talk.

There is no mother anymore, but she is not alone.
