Leontes, king of Sicily, suspects that Queen Hermione has fallen in love with Polixenes who is his friend and the king of neighboring country, Bohemia. Blinded by jealousy, Leontes put Hermione in prison and made her daughter to go to a uninhabited land. When Hermione heard that her son had died in a court trial for adultery, was shocked to death. 

Leontes later realized his mistake and spent the day of regret. Hermione's daughter, Perdita, who luckily found by shepherd and has grow into a graceful lady, falls in love with Prince Florizel the son of Bohemian king, Polixenes. Polixenes is angry at Florizel, who promised to marry Perdita without his permission, and try to separate the two. With the help of Camilo, however, Florizel and Perdita are headed for Sicily, so Leontes is reunited with her daughter Perdita and Hermione, who was barely survived to find her daughter.
