What is the price of success? Who must suffer the cost? We live in a time of unparalleled wealth and comfort, and equal and opposite are the disparity of so many. Objectively viewing the world we accept full of competition and power grabs, <The False Life>asks: what do you really want? This performance describes an individual’s eagerness for success. <The False Life> makes audiences think about what we really need in this world with many corrupt values.
This is a comedy backed by a soundtrack of traditional Korean music. This performance shows Korean tradition and emotion using mime, onomatopoeia and mimetic word.

Synopsis

A man fakes his school records to win the approval of his teacher and the affection of his girlfriend who care so much about his grade.
A male nurse always envied the doctor and one day pretends to be him when the doctor steps out. Suddenly, a patient in need enters the doctor’s room. Playing the part, the nurse does surgery not knowing what to do.
A woman starts selling imitation bags, after receiving an imitation bag from her boyfriend. She earns a fortune but has an unexpected accident.
Another woman suffers deep anxiety in spite of having great power. She’s unaware of the heavy chain that’s beginning to pull her leg.
These four people try to go back to nature leaving what they have, but they can’t escape from the competitive world.
