Synopsis

Raised by an unstable mother and an absent father, Nam Guy stood on the fringes of society, insignificant and ignored.  He begins to attract people with his unique charm as he grows. Those who noticed the secret charms of Nam Guy including a distinctive body odor experience a strange twist of fate.
Meanwhile, Nam Guy begins making a life for himself by doing errands for merchants in the market and selling compost made of human excrements. On the festive day of Dano (May 5 in the lunar calendar), he appears in the market neatly dressed and causes an unintended accident; three of the village’s most beautiful women are trampled to death by the crowd while stopping to admire him.
As he reaches the draft age, Nam Guy joins the army and there he draws attention from a national institute for his outstanding looks and the institute collects and studies his genes. In spite of their scrutiny, they fail to uncover the secret of his charms. His appeal fades with the passage of time and Nam Guy returns home. He marries a woman, enjoys a simple life, and faces a peaceful death as he returns to the compost pit where his journey began.
